Doom III is out. Has anyone got it? If you do, is it good? Is it really worth buying? I may get it, if it is really good, but I hope it isn't too scary  .
So, should I get it, or should I just wait for Half Life 2?

Well, it isn't actually out yet. It has been downloaded of a bittorent seed over 80.000 times in the first 2 days! I fear ID software is gunna lose a lot of potential buyers by this. Too bad, it's a really good game

It happens with every game, so it won't be much of a disadvantage for Doom 3 against other games, as it happens to them aswell.

Doom 3 isn't really scary because you expect there are monsters in every room you enter. So the game doesnt actually scare the crap out of you. But you get startled from time to time.
