DOTA Official Site V.3

I've been working on a new version of the DOTA site. This is because the origional one isn't very well coded, which makes it hard to update, and add content.

So, i've been making a new php and database based one, and a quick mock up can be seen here:

Be aware I made that in about 20 minutes as a quick sketch. So the graphics aren't all done, and it isn't completely neatened up yet. But what do you think of the idea?

I had 2 people saying that the menu being on the right was annoying, so I'll move that to the left.

And, I'll probably also add a choice of templates, one of them being the DOTA site v2 template (current one).

But what do you think of it so far?

ooh. looks nice. i like how the letters are nice and glowy-looking.

and i agree about the menu being on the right, it is kinda weird. i see this little banner-type thing that says "DOTA||Day of the Aliens"...is that going to be anything, or just for decoration? b/c if it's just there for the sake of it being there, maybe you could do a menu that looks like that, but have it be like a dragdown menu, so there could be one for "team" and when you scroll over it, it drags down to "members", "projects", "joining" or whatever. i like those.

anyway...that's all i have to say. yeah. it looks really good.

Thanks for the opinions. The DOTA || Day Of The Aliens bit was just decoration, becuase above that there are the main categories for the menu, and there is also a full menu, so I think that's enough ways to navigate.

Hmm, maybe i'll change the background to stars or something.

And the cat's there because it looks cool, and it's some of the only current art i have Wink

it looks good.. but there's something about it that's weird...i can't place my finger on it, though. yeah. i'm not really sure. i like the current one a little better. maybe make the buttons at the top that say "the game" and "the team" a little smaller. b/c the design looks neat, really cool, but the buttons look too big for the design of it all...they should be more sleek or something...

Meh, you need to define the different elements, otherwise it all looks kinda messy.

Also, the DOTA || DAY OF THE ALIENS || bar should go all the way across, and not stop at the edge of the DOTA banner, having it faded over the banner.

Anyhoo, like the general idea!
