This is the forum about the map that we (some DOTA people) will be making to enter into the map making competition on www.csm2.net. First prize is a server so hopefully we'll win (and also it's fun making a good map  ).

We are probably going to be working on shipdocks, and turning it into a big de_ map.
We need people to design, do custom textures and do custom models. At the moment it is just me and mattbt, so anyone who wants to help, we would be really grateful  .
So yeah, this is the forum to discuss it.

Lol. Half-Life 2 is a computer game that was released recently, and it's an amazing game. Most magazines gave it about 95%. You can read more about it here: http://www.halflife2.net/index.php?page=overview .
It has a very flexible engine which has a software development kit released for it. This allows people to make MODs, which are their own games using the engine (we are making the Grim Fandango Half-Life 2 mod - see here). And this is just a map we are making for Counter-Strike Source, which is an official MOD for Half-Life 2.

| and counter-strike soure or css is an online game which comes with half-life 2 or HL2 and is where terrorists versus counter-terrorists in a number of differnet senarios over default maps and custom made maps, we want to make a custom made map to get our own server that will be for the clan and that we can play on... |
