okay. i got my scoring results...and now i'm not really mad anymore. b/c i did well. here's my final scoring results...
altogether, i scored 218 out of 250 points. here's a closer breakdown:
prepared music portion- 116 out of 120 points.
scale portion- 50 out of 50 points.
sight reading- 19 out of 30 points.
tone quality- 18 out of 30 points. (i agree, i have really bad tone)
overall musicality and phrasing- 15 out of 20 points.
so i only missed 32 points, which is good. and that means that i'm not all that worse than the person who's 1st chair symphonic band, at most i placed 32 points behind, unlike some other sections, where it's like, 70 points. so i guess that means that all the horns placed within 32 points of each other. so i'm probably only a point or two away from the person above me. so i guess that lessens the pain a little...
plus, there'll be challenging, where you can challenge someone in an audition for their chair. i'll have to challenge jenny. me and her are dead even, just about. last year, i was better than her, and if i took private lessons, i'd surely get better than her and kick her ass next year.
hopefully. so we'll see. at least there's a challenge thing where i can at least try a second time for first chair. *shrug* _________________ puzzle designer. moderator.
