OK, I got four total. I figured not everybody would be able to send theirs in by that deadline, since I knew some people would go over the deadline no matter when it was. The goal was that instead of people going over a deadline set for today, I'd get them all today when they went over a deadline for yesterday Wink

Anyway, I've got all the answers now, two people's answers were randomized. So, here's how it will work:

For those of you that are math-challenged, six answers and two choices means there could possibly be a tie in a category, and there most certainly are. There are ties for 7 of the questions that I've done. So, that'll be a little bonus thing. I will score the answers as such:

For every one you get right, you get two points, and for every one you get wrong, you lose a point. In theory, you could wind up with negative points after this competition, and if you do, then so be it. You'll have negative points on the leaderboard, but I don't think that will happen to anybody. Basically, the highest amount of points you can get is 39, since there are ties for 7 questions, meaning you'd get those seven wrong no matter what. But, there's a slight twist. Twisted Evil

For some cool bonus points, you may guess which questions had tied answers in addition to guessing what the majority answer was. So let's say that you think number 7 is a tied answer, you can have it look like this on your answer list:

7. B (Tie)

If it is a tie, you get points, if it's B, you get points. But, you can wager some of your points on the tie, either x2 or x3. If it was a tie, you get either 4 points (if you chose x2) or 6 points (if you chose x3). If it was not a tie and the letter answer you chose for it was correct, then you can either earn 1 point (if you chose x2) or no points (if you chose x3). If it was not a tie and the letter answer you chose was incorrect, you will either lose two points (if you chose x2), or three points (if you chose x3).

Everybody understand? So here's a sample list:

1. A
2. A
3. B
4. B
5. B
6. A
7. B (Tie x3)
8. B
9. A
10. A
11. A (Tie x2)
12. A
13. B
14. A (Tie x2)
15. B (Tie x3)
16. B
17. A
18. A
19. A
20. B (Tie x2)
21. A
22. A
23. B (Tie x2)
24. A
25. B
26. B
27. B
28. A
29. B (Tie x3)
30. A

*Note* None of that means a thing, I simply chose random letters.
So, let's say number 29 was a tie. You'd get 6 points.
Let's say number 7 was not a tie, but the answer was B like you said, you would stay even on that (since you chose tie x3).
Let's say that number 23 was not a tie, and was answer A while you chose B. You would receive -2 points (since you chose tie x2).
And on and on.
Just for the sake of this example, let's say you earned 4 points for number 20, lost 3 on number 15, gained 1 on number 11 and lost 2 on number 14.

From the tie bonus alone, you gained 4 points.

On the other 27 questions, let's say you got 19 of them and didn't get the other 8. The regular questions got you 30 points.

All in all, that's a total of 34 points, which is decent.

If you have any questions, please post them here. This is due by 12:00 AM GMT on Tuesday, so you have the rest of today and tomorrow to do this (and ask questions).

Good luck Smile

Wow that was confusing Razz. I'll do my answers now.

I think we should use the scores from this event to choose teams, and then once the teams are there the scores are reset and people earn points for the challenges they do as a team.

Well, this challenge is definitely being used to put people into teams, that's pretty much the whole idea of the preliminary challenge. I was going to have these points originally put people on their leaderboard, but here's what I will do instead.

Once I have everybody's answers, I will place them into teams. The teams' average scores will then become everybody on that team's starting score. So lets say the teams were made as such:

Team A
Person 1- 28 Points
Person 2- 22 Points
Person 3- 13 Points

Team B
Person 1- 32 Points
Person 2- 23 Points
Person 3- 11 Points

Everybody on Team A would begin with 21 points, and everybody on team B would start with 22 Points. Remember, your score only matters in comparison to the people on your own team, not the people on the other team Smile

So, that's how it will be done. Very Happy

Just a note-

The last time I checked my email, which was on Tuesday, I had only received one set of answers from a person, and that person was James.

I don't know what's going on w/this?

Does nobody want to participate anymore?

Thamkeng is just sending them in now, Dark Monkey said to use his answers to the origional quiz (i think), and I'll ask the other when they come online on MSN.

Btw Das Mole, Dark Monkey made this program that lets people on MSN talk to people on AIM and vice versa. It's kind of like a chat room thing, and you can do private chats and stuff. It's still in beta, but i'll see if he can let you use it, and then we can use it if we need to discuss DOTA. For it to work you just have to add the bot to your contact list, and then it tells you how to work it.
