There is a function on my admin panel for that - it is called pruning, where it deletes posts with no replies after (however long you want).

But I don't want to use it. Because, what if someone put something really interesting and important as a piece of info. And then no one was really meant to reply to it.

i'd say no to the ones that aren't "popular", because there's only one or two popular topics in the whole site. plus, what if it was ground rules and stuff, like james said? i'd only delete a topic if it was inappropriate, offensive, or pointless, not because nobody's replying to it. i just like letting topics die by themselves, if you close it cause nobody replies to it, that's not really fair to the person who made it, i think.
