More news on moving hosts...

Well, I have done the requests, so now it is being reviewed. So, hopefully we will be out of Lycos soon. But not definetly.

I will probably leave these forums up for a bit after I have got the new site, just so people have time to get ready to move.

And I will let you ahve a little testchat there for a few days, tehn I will restore this database.

Uh oh. I just though... what if the database restoring doesn't work. Then i will probably have to find a way to make it work, and that will be waisting the host's time...

During the move of the database, I recommend shutting it down to prevent lost posts. You can even go into the lang file and edit it to direct to your new address. That's what I did. Laughing

What I will probably do, is let everyone have a few more days here, and warn them that anything they post after a specific time wil be lost...

And what are you saying about editing the language file?

Find the language entry in lang_main.php that says that the forum is disabled, and change it to something like "This forum has moved. Please go here and update your bookmarks."
