Yes. Belphegor has come up with the idea of the company name Snowblind Games, which I think is qutie good.

But, what do you think of it?

Lol! Yeah. I said it was a good name but not really appropiate for the games that we are making! It kinda sounds like it's just for snowboard games! Alas. Its still pretty damn good! Wink

It doesn't matter if Day Of The Aliens isn't based in the snow. It still works.

Problems with James*Games:

1) I don't think I should use my first name as I am not the only person doing all the games.
2) the * can become confusing when people are trying to find our company.
3) It is hard to see if it is already taken.

Well, you started the "company", so why shouldn't your name be on it? It's catchy.... And the "official text name" could be James-Games, while the "fancy name" could be James*Games. There. I think I alleviated all of the problems. Cool

But then it wouldn't seem right if... say... I quit the company, and let someone else take over. Then it would be kind of stupid becuase no one called James is working for the company.

And also, people wouldn't be able to find our company on google or any search eninge. Because if you do * or any special character on nearly any, it will ignore it and replace it with a space. So tehn instead of finding our company, people will be bombarded with a load of people called James who want to tell us about all their games.

True....but u could have like another symbol like so u could search for James Games.net or something like that. I know that is for a webpage but at least they would find our company.

I jsut did a search for that on Google, and it came up with over 8000 results. So it would be very hard for someone to find our company.

Another thing to think about when trying to find a company name is how easily people will be able to find it when searchign on google. E.g. if your company was called "Ignition", then people would ahve a lot of trouble finding it. Smae with James*Games. Snowblind Games only came up with one other result.

(And i was mistaken before, google uses * as a wildcard)
