How about making the "Reply", "Post New Topic" buttons and the bell sort of icon next to topics more personalised and DOTA related?  They look too generic at the moment IMO.

I know what you mean - i was thinking of making a whole dota skin.
Here is all that I could do now:
I couldn't think of much else to do to it.

i just came across this thread...why not use some different colors in the background and then have a neater font? i just did this and i think it looks neat:
do a sunburst gradient with red in the middle and green in the outer edges. then put "post reply" in eager naturalist, size 10 font, regular, blue, put it in the middle. i think that looks neat. and then change the colors in the new topic button.
or, make a jpg where the words "new topic" run across the button horizontally, same w/post reply.

Can you do it and upload the pic? Seeing as i seem to be using a different program from you and not have the same fonts as you.
And, i have many themes (as can be seen in your profile), so it is kind of hard to change stuff around.

Wow, that is really cool. Except it still doesn't really have much to do with DOTA  . If you look here, there are a load of templates, some of which might look nice on this site. BUT, i can't install any new templates, because of all the mods i have  . Maybe with a bit of lerning i could do a new style.

I'll work on some buttons tonite but I don't think they will look DOTA related but still

I made this in 10 mins and it got a little cut-out but if you like it i will make a new one

Those are nice. I suppose what i could try doing is applying these to the different themes i have, but i don't know how you link in different images .
Btw, styling on phpBB2.2 will be a lot easier.
