band auditions

i had another seating audition yesterday...to see who becomes first chair, etc. inside concert band 1 alone...i was third (a.k.a. last)...and now..

I GOT FIRST CHAIR!!! Very Happy

today is one of the best days of my life.

yeah, i read the first horn part for the first time today--it's a lot better. i mean, it's almost identical to third (for those of you that haven't ever been in band, a third part will amost always nearly parallel the first part, same with 2nd and 4th, they parallel each other, almost), but it's more interesting. and now jenny's stuck with the worst part, since she's second chair. i mean, i feel bad for her, but i finally put her back in her place. *phew* it's been a long two years, but i did it!
