OK, decided to make a new thread for my Top 10 Countdown every week. As we all know, every Sunday, I post the countdown, according to what I like, and not what any of you other jerks like. Bwahahaha!!!1one
Anyway, here we go for the first week of 2005! Whoohoo!
10. Mario-Let Me Love You
9. Gwen Stefani-What You Waiting For?
8. Kelly Clarkson-Since U Been Gone
7. Ludacris-Get Back
Generally, I don't like too much rap, except Missy Elliot of course, and this is another exception. I actually kinda like this song. It might get pretty high up eventually. We'll see.
6. Destiny's Child-Soldier
5. Ryan Cabrera-True
4. Gwen Stefani-Rich Girl ]
Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na naaa...love this song, but it falls just short of the top 3 b/c of three truly amazing songs that I just love. It's funny to think that just a month or two ago, there were a few weeks where I only truly liked one or two of the songs on the countdown.
3. Destiny's Child-Lose My Breath
I still love this song. This my jam!! J/k. No, but it's still a great song, and still quite amazing. I love the drumline.
2. Ciara f/Missy Elliot-1,2 Step
Such a great song, but it has to be second best this first week. The music is so simple in the background, and the lyrics aren't hard to follow at all, and yet it still mananges to be a good song, and that's what's truly great about it.
1. Ashanti-Only U
One of the best songs I've heard in a while. I love this song, and that's why I got the CD. I could listen to it all day. I love the background music, and Ashanti's got such a great voice. The entire song is great. _________________ puzzle designer. moderator.

There should have been a new one by now!
I do read them by the way, but I can't really think of a comment to post every week without it seeming like spam _________________

Yeah, I forgot to do it on Sunday, and I didn't realize I had forgotten until Tuesday. I would've done it then, however, I had to study for finals, and could only manage to sneak online for like 10 minutes. And then I finally got online for a good amount of time yesterday, but by then it was too late.
However, I'm gonna be sure to do it this Sunday, so...yeah. _________________ puzzle designer. moderator.

This week- As Anne from the Weakest Link would say, "We have a tie, team"...A tie for the biggest plunge of forever But who is it? Well, chances are you can see it from here...maybe not. I don't know. Plus, will Ashanti hang on to number one? Find out...
7-\/-10. Ludacris-Get Back
D----9. Gwen Stefani-Hollaback Girl
Like this song. She says "sh!t" a lot in it...but I like the beat.
D----8. Green Day-Boulevard of Broken Dreams
2-\/-7. Ciara f/Missy Elliot-1,2 Step (Plunge of the week)
Who would've guessed? Yes, that's right...Ciara falls an unbelievable 5 spots to number 7. Somehow, this song just lost it's magical something over the past two weeks. Granted, had a posted this last week, it would've been not as bad of a decline...so this doesn't go in the record books. BTW- She tied Britney Spears' "Outrageous", which fell off the countdown from being at number 6.
6->-6. Destiny's Child-Soldier
8-/\-5. Kelly Clarkson-Since U Been Gone
3-\/-4. Destiny's Child-Lose My Breath
5-/\-3. Ryan Cabrera-True
1-\/-2. Ashanti-Only U
Well, Ashanti couldn't do it. This song is still good. It's kinda losing something, though...but yeah. We'll see what it's fate shall be next week.
4-/\-1. Gwen Stefani-Rich Girl
Well, Gwen Stefani has pulled it off! This song is great. I love it. So...yeah. That's it. Please read next week
R.I.P.

This week- See if Gwen clings to the top spot like a sloth hanging on to a tree... And, I've got 3 debuts this week as well. Hooray!
D----10. Ciara f/Ludacris-Oh
D----9. Mariah Carey-It's Like That
Mariah Carey is BACK, baby! This new song is pretty good. We'll see if it'll fall off as a victim of the "curse of 9" as I like to call it...there have been so many songs that have fallen off after one week on the countdown, especially if that week was at #9. So, we'll see.
10-/\-8. Ludacris-Get Back
8-/\-7. Green Day-Boulevard of Broken Dreams
2-\/-6. Ashanti-Only U (Plunge of the Week)
Holy cow! Ashanti falls a whole four spots, out of the top 2, even out of the top 5! First Ciara, now Ashanti...what is the world coming to? Well, actually, the world is stopping me from listening to all my CDs that I had gotten from X-Mas...so this song goes down since I've barely heard it...plus, it's getting kinda old anyway.
5->-5. Kelly Clarkson-Since U Been Gone
D----4. Jennifer Lopez f/Fabolous-Get Right
This song is truly amazing. Yet another comeback, J.Lo (who now wants to be called Jennifer Lopez, not J.Lo anymore) came out w/this song. The saxophone and stuff are really great. I heard it for the first time I think on this Monday, as a matter of fact. It's really good.
6-/\-3. Destiny's Child-Soldier (Leap of the week)
Whoopee! "Soldier" finally cracks into the top 3, being the leap of the week.
1-\/-2. Gwen Stefani-Rich Girl
Gwen Stefani gets knocked out of the top spot after only one week, only by the likes of...
3-/\-1. Ryan Cabrera-True
I don't know why I like this song. I didn't think it would hit number one, especially, lol. I guess it's b/c it's a little slower than the rest of the songs on the radio at the moment, plus the background music is nice and simple...it's a nice little relief from all the loud baselines and stuff that I've been hearing lately
R.I.P.
Destiny's Child-Lose My Breath (4)
Ciara f/Missy Elliot-1,2 Step (7)
Gwen Stefani-Hollaback Girl (9)
*Note* I'm not counting this Destiny's Child plunge as the plunge of forever for two reasons:
1. Timing, again
2. I stopped listening to my MP3 player recently...the only reason it stayed so high was b/c I kept hearing it again and again. _________________ puzzle designer. moderator.

*Note* I'm not gonna bother doing it now...I was going to do it yesterday, just so there was some time in between the two, but I'll just hold off until this Sunday. I may stop doing it altogether, just b/c I don't feel like doing it every week, but I'll keep doing it right now until I just completely get sick of it _________________ puzzle designer. moderator.

This week- No debuts, surprisingly! What ever will we do? Just read and see who's at number one
6-\/-10. Ashanti-Only U (Plunge of the week)
That makes two weeks in a row now that Ashanti's fallen big time. She may very well fall off next week unless there isn't another song that I like.
8-\/-9. Ludacris-Get Back
5-\/-8. Kelly Clarkson-Since U Been Gone
9-/\-7. Mariah Carey-It's Like That
10-/\-6. Ciara f/Ludacris-Oh (Plunge of the week)
In a complete reversal of Ashanti's move, Ciara switches spots w/her and climbs four notches to numbe 6. This song is pretty good, but I don't know if it's good enough to be number one yet. We'll see.
7-/\-5. Green Day-Boulevard of Broken Dreams
3-\/-4. Destiny's Child-Soldier
Just as "Soldier" seems to be possibly on it's way to number one, it falls out of the top three. Will it ever make it? Who knows.
2-\/-3. Gwen Stefani-Rich Girl
Sadly, Gwen Stefani always happens to have these amazing songs that are awesome, but there's always another song or two that are better than her great new song. Don't worry, she most likely will stay up in the top three, b/c this song is still great, even if it isn't the best.
4-/\-2. Jennifer Lopez-Get Right
I still love this song, but I don't know what the deal is with it. Apparently there's like another version that they started playing instead that's like a note higher or lower or something? It sounds a little weird, and it sounds like Usher is in it instead of Fabolous. I hate Usher, I think he's a fascist nazi that's planning to take over the world. He was slightly tolerable to start off, and now I am repulsed by him. Anyway, back on the topic of the lovely Ms.Lopez, this song is great and I wouldn't be surprised to see it at the top in the next week or two.
1->-1. Ryan Cabrera-True
This song is still really good. Again, I don't know why. And you know how I just said that thing about the note higher or lower or something? I think they did that w/this song too. I dunno. Maybe my hearing's going or something
Read next week, too! _________________ puzzle designer. moderator.

This week- One debut, that's basically it And see if Ryan Cabrera can cling on to the top spot.
6-\/-10. Ciara f/Ludacris-Oh (Plunge of the Week)
*Gasp* Yes, the Princess has taken a tumble, going right back where she started. Last week, she was the leap of the week (yeah, I made a typo), and this week she's the plunge. I think Luda must be bad luck, seeing how he fell off this week too.
10-/\-9. Ashanti-Only U
Ashanti actually manages to creep back up the countdown by one notch, despite the grim looks of what was almost destined to happen. Let's see if she can work some magic and shimmy up any further.
7-\/-8. Mariah Carey-It's Like That
D----7. Alicia Keys-Karma
This song is pretty good, I've heard it a few times, plus in the music video she's playing a pink piano, who could resist, right?
8-/\-6. Kelly Clarkson-Since U Been Gone
4-\/-5. Destiny's Child-Soldier
5-/\-4. Green Day-Boulevard of Broken Dreams
3->-3. Gwen Stefani-Rich Girl
1-\/-2. Ryan Cabrera-True
Oh no! Ryan falls out of the top spot! After setting his little guitar down for a quick rest, someone snuck past him and drove away with the number one spot. Who was it? None other than...
2-/\-1. Jennifer Lopez-Get Right
This song is AWESOME!! Well, it's not that great, but it truly is a very good song, and I like it a whole lot. Read next week to see if J.Lo can stay up here again
R.I.P.

This week- Sorry it's so late! Had no time over the weekend, but anyway...not too much movement in the top notches. There haven't been too many great songs around lately. But anyway...see if J.Lo is one of the movers this week...
9-\/-10. Ashanti-Only U
Still manages to cling on to one of the bottom spots, yet again.
7-\/-9. Alicia Keys-Karma
D----8. Frankie J-Obsession
New song (obviously). It's OK.
6-\/-7. Kelly Clarkson-Since U Been Gone
4-\/-6. Green Day-Boulevard of Broken Dreams
5->-5. Destiny's Child-Soldier
D----4. Natalie-Goin' Crazy
I like this song. I don't know if the song name is right, or the singer for that matter, but I'm pretty sure that I've got it right.
3->-3. Gwen Stefani-Rich Girl
2->-2. Ryan Cabrera-True
I still really like this song, but it's not as good as the number one song which is...
1->-1. Jennifer Lopez-Get Right
Still remains at #1. Whoohoo! OK. Read next week.
R.I.P.
Mariah Carey-It's Like That (8.)

I thought I posted yesterday. Oh well *shrug*
I kinda don't feel like doing one this week...been having a not-too-hot last couple of days, plus there aren't really any good new songs around anyway...I'll just start over next week or something. _________________ puzzle designer. moderator.
