Hey.

The clan match against the AX clan went ok, but not too good overall. We lost the first game 0-12, and I don't think we did much better after that, apart from when we were playing against 3 people, when we beat them - just.

We discussed tactics on MSN, but everyone was talking at once and no one actually heard what the final plan was.

What tactics should be improved? Does anyone have any new, better tactics that we should discuss using? Are there going to be any more clan matchs?

When posting, make sure you state whether you are talking about a "de" or "cs" map Smile.

We did finalise tactics for de_dust2. While we are CTs two people go to and camp site B, and 3 go and camp site A. And when we are terrorists, we stick together and take one of these three routes:

  • Long - Along the long passage way that has a ditch at the end
  • Short - The stair route
  • Flank - around the sides

Well that worked in theory but when the game actually begun no one did what he was supposed to, everyone just went where they wanted to. When we were CT we either grouped and went to A or B all together or just ran in some random direction. When we were T we were supposed to follow the bomb carrier, again didn't happen because when i had the bomb no one followed me. And well ping was a b*tch for some people and our aim sucks.

What if you all go to one point(ex A) and then when the bomb is planted you can run to it with your whole group!

Can I just ask how many of you were playing, if you had 6 ppl then you should go in pairs to various places, and i dont think going to the same places every time is a good tactic, you need to vary. Say on the first , 2nd and third round you went to the same places all going in different directions and you were slaughtered, then on the forth round you should all go in an enormous group and surprise them, then they would die easily, and then do somethin else after otherwise they'll know you guys are going in big groups. Anyway sorry for not being there, mum didn't allow me to play and if i did i couldnt really concentrate properly since i have to lookout for my mom coming up the stairs. But overall if you followed that tactic you'll probably do much better but that doesnt necessary guarantee a win. Also some of you guys really need to stop camping especially if you're on your own.

Camping is quite a good tactic if you're on your own actually. Especially if for example you are on Ts, and you can try to slowly sneak and plant the bomb and camp the site. And everyone agreed that when we were CTs camping sites A and B on dust2 was a good idea.

We started to kind of do that at the beginning, even if sometimes it was 4 at one spot and 1 and the other, but most people were trying to follow it. But we were losing really badly so i think people just wanted to try their own tactics because they think they can do better alone Wink

Well, that's the number 1 thing not to do during a clanwar, going away on your own

Really you need a man to call out tactics as a Terrorist usually the one who has had most experience in clan matches. As that means that every time your tactics might be different or can adapt to suit the round. Everyone also needs to call in when enemys are spotted. Using a program like Ventrilo helps this alot as you can speak after you are dead to your fellow mates abot the last position of the enemy and such.

Every clan uses it :S, Because in truth it doesnt give away any details if the server is configured correctly. So once you die the screen goes black or team spectate only and yer, the dead member can say where he died and where the enemy was but using the radar does that to. If you's ever check on mIRC our owt like that you'll see millions upon millions of clans use it. Its an ESSENTIAL.
