Woah, just played your map James and I thought it was pretty good. Unfortunately there are a few things that prevent it from being as good as it could have. Don't take these comments personally.

1) the skybox isn't done too good as when you look down the train you kinda look at the sky so I suggest you put some atmosthere to blend it together or some detailed stuff so it doesn't look so plain.

2) the floor where the train is looks very blocky, maybe you should add some curbs etc, also some propstatic like rubbish or somethin like that cos it looks very plain.

3) Is it me or is it very laggy??? apparently you can reduce the lagg y some how, cant remember the tutorial but yeh too laggy.

4) the bomb was accidently thrown under the train by steve and he couldn't get it out? maybe some invisible wall,jus a smallone Smile

5) and finally some texture problems, bits of white appearing especially under water.

Overall this is a gr8 map, and I hope it does win. I hope my suggestions help.

EDIT: I don't know about you guys but I thought the 'fun' factor was higher in the last, (meh just ignore me)

I like the map but there are a few things i don't like which dont realy matter cus you cant fix them anymore anyway. maybe for next time:
- Too many static meshes: causes lag for some players.
- Spawnpoints are too close together. This is ok in a fy-map but in a de map this is a problem.
- CT spawnpoint is too close to bombsites. You can't really place the bomb because when there are people that stayed behind they can defuse it really quick + there is almost no way of getting there without getting shot and/or killed.
- Water (but will be fixed i think).

It's really an improvement from the previous version. I really advise people to play it and give feedback too

Well, firstly you can't expect everyone to work on DOTA in all of their free time. This is an amatuer adventure game that we work on when we can. And secondly, a lot of the team (including me) have done all the work they can for the time being.

At the moment we are waiting for art to be recieved. Once we do get it, we'll be able to make more progress. Progress has been made over the past few days, and just because we're working on it doesn't mean we can't do other things at the same time. Steve has been working really hard over the last few days, and has done really well with cell shaded 3D van to be placed into the game, but that doesn't mean he can't play as well.

lol, who was that, and i do kinda see his point we do spend a lot of time on things HL2 and CSS related, but we gotta have fun sometines!

Alright Smile. I don't play Counter-Strike all the time (btw it isn't ghey Wink), but sometimes i need a break from coding DOTA Wink.

We'll try to get work done on DOTA as quickly as possible. You should register on the forums - it helps Smile
