Who inspires you to continue with free running? For me it's Chase Armitage (the whole of team evolution are great, but Chase is the best ). I watch Free Your Mind over and over.
How about you? _________________

Hey, that reminds me, apparently District B13 (the film that clip of David Belle was from) has been dubbed into an english version and is in cinemas in America... I wonder if it's coming to the UK. If it is I'll definetily be seeing it it gets great reviews. _________________

I don't really have anyone that inspires me. I just do it because I love it and I love the thrills _________________ Moderator, Developer, Free Running newbie |

Steve's an idiot!!! Only joking, but you have got to love David Belle (not Bell, Theo), Chase Armitage, Junoir (the breakdancer), and especially Team Ryouko.
The best are the people in the video 'Extreme Freerunning'!!!!! "You knows it, *****!"
Why the **** does it censor '*****'?

Are u trying to build as much muscle as him, Theo? That would be cool. You would inspire me then.
You would look good with green skin, too _________________ Face plant |

It's actually not a very good idea to build up muscle mass for parkour or tricking, as it just gets in the way, decreases flexibility, and stops you from being able to jump as high.
Loads of people who do tricking say you should do body weight exercises to increase core strength only. I know this guy who can do stuff like planche and one handed handstand pushup (with a little help supporting him), and he has relatively small muscles, because he's a gymnast. _________________

Very true, but all the same, I'm trying to bulk up a little because right now I'm quite out of shape, I'm not going for the Hulk look, or even the max shaw look lol but generally get into better shape. Long runs help build up stamina and work a surprisingly large range of muscles.
I think David Belle is a good source of inspiration, especially since that video of him falling. _________________

I do jogging as a warm up and then do bodyweight exercises like pushups, or just go out and practice parkour, and i keep jogging in between so my heart rate stays high. _________________

The Max Shaw look... hahaha...
I don't do much exercise, actually none... and I don't exactly go for long runs or practice parkour on my own, so perhaps I should.
I'm more into the psychological and philosophical mantra of David Belle's countless wisdom. THAT IS PARKOUR!!! Only joking (well sort of). Maybe I should go for the Max Shaw look as well as the David Belle mindset...hahaha!
Maybe I should add the fearless stupidity of Alex Baddeley as well... hahaha! Actually, he's probably more able to do stuff than I am, so I probably shouldn't laugh, and just practice parkour and bodybuild like Theo. _________________ Face plant |

David Belle does do bodybuilding too (although like I said earlier, his is mainly bodyweight exercises to produce as little excess mass as possible). You should be able to tell that from the Speed Air Man video .
You should really do more exercise Patrick.. it will help with your free running and in life as well . I do about 30-60 minutes a day infront of the TV, so it's not as if I'm wasting time when I would normally be doing other stuff. Infact, I just got the Men's Health magazine because a tricker told me it was really useful for health tips, and it is! _________________
