OK, people. I'm starting up a Survivor game for the forums...there isn't a points system, but you'll still be awarded credits, which I'll keep tabs of. This is the only game around where you can earn credits. IF ANYBODY ELSE MAKES GAMES WHERE CREDITS ARE AWARDED, I WILL DELETE THEM, SO DON'T DO IT. Don't worry - I'm sure all of you can benefit from the points, so playing this game would be worth your time.
Here's the general concept for those of you that aren't familiar w/the show:
Reward Challenges
Reward Challenges will be issued from time to time, and you will be able to earn yourself "bonus" credits, in effect. They will normally be worth 10 points, but some might be "free-for-all" types, where you can earn certain amounts depending on what answers you give (see BOTS).
Immunity Challenges
If you win Immunity, you cannot be voted out at Tribal Council, nobody can give you a vote. You will earn yourself 5 credits for every Immunity that you win.
Tribal Council
Tribal Councils will take place after Immunity Challenges. You will have one day after the winner of the Immuinty Challenge is announced to send me your vote. PM it to me, and you must give a reason why. Elaborate on your decision, and then say "MY VOTE IS FOR ______." If you do not participate in a Tribal Council, you get a self-vote, meaning you vote for yourself. For every vote you get at a Tribal Council, you lose 2 credits from your credit total. If you make it to the final Tribal Council, where people are voting for you to win, you will get 4 credits per vote you get to win. Not getting votes doesn't count against you. BTW, self-votes cause you to lose 4 credits rather than 2, so make sure to vote!
If....
-...you don't complete a challenge, you don't get any points. If you miss two or more challenges in a row, you are eliminated at the next Tribal Council.
-...you don't participate in a TC (Tribal Council), you will get a self-vote. As I stated, you lose 4 credits from getting a self-vote.
Prizes
OK, the total credit "bases" change from place to place. For example, if you win, you are obviously deserving of more credits than someone who came in fifth. Therefore, I have come up w/the base system. These base amounts will be added to/subtracted from depending upon your wins in challenges/votes you get, etc. Here they are:
Winner - 200 credits
Runner-up - 150 credits
3rd Place - 100 credits
4th Place - 80 credits
5th Place - 70 credits
6th Place - 60 credits
7th Place - 50 credits
8th Place - 40 credits
9th Place - 30 credits
In theory, the person in 7th place could get more credits than the person in 6th place if they earned themselves enough bonus credits. Believe me, YOU WANT THESE CREDITS, they can help you greatly in the forums.
I do need 9 people to play for sure. I suppose I could conduct this with fewer, however, it wouldn't be as good.
An example
Okay, here we go. I'm gonna give one example of a player's gameplay and how they did. So let's say there were 7 people playing. So Joe (the player) wins reward challenges in weeks 2 and 4. one was worth 10 and one was worth 8. he won immunity in week 5, so he gets 5 credits. He only had 4 total votes against him- 2 in week 1, 1 in week 2, and 1 in week 4. he came in second place, and he had 2 votes cast for him to win.
reward challenges: +18 credits
immunity challenges: +5 credits
votes against: -8 credits
finishing place: 150 points
votes to win: +8 credits
So Joe would win a total of 173 points. so it's a nice way to earn yourself a nice amount of points
The game needs to begin soon, so, do we have any players? I'm looking for 9 willing people...
...Oh, and BTW, if you do get eliminated b/c of non-participation, you will only receive a quarter of the points you normally would've received. So be sure to participate! _________________ puzzle designer. moderator.
