They changed it to StormPay now, which you need to be over 18 for, but it says you can use a friend's or family memeber's account if you're too young.
But PayPal accounts were free and easy to create while it used them _________________

Indeed...I just signed up (well, I signed up during school but can't access my email (why is web hosting blocked? (the email account I used was through my web host's site)) so I just verified/activated it.) I just noticed, StormPay charges a fee for recieving money!

That's no small chunk of change when you start dealing in large numbers, i.e. the $264 per month would be reduced to $254.09. Nearly $10! What a rip off... _________________ Signature:

EDIT: I found something of a hack. Something about refreshing the page, and making extensive use of the forward and back buttons. But it takes a long time to load...Probably easier just to come up with some new searches...
Edit: I think I may have crashed the server...The page won't load any more... _________________ Signature:

Okay, I perfected the cheat method in case anyone gets really brain dead and can't come up with anything "unique" to search for:
1. Make a "unique" search.
2. After you get paid, click "Refresh".
3. A page will pop-up telling you to make a different search.
4. Click "Back" and then while the page is loading, click "Refresh".
You should get sent back to the page with your search results, and get paid again. I did this about 10 - 15 times today because I was having fun screwing up their system (although yesterday during lunch detention I did come up with a list of 40 different searches that I could make every day if I so chose).
And as for those who think NetBux "sux", I guess an extra $3k/yr.* means nothing to you.
*Based on 40 searches/day with 10 referred users each making 40 searches/day. _________________ Signature:

Which is exactly my point. No one can be bothered to use it lots, even if they say they will and can get easy money. _________________ aiii |

You all just decided that NetBux is a scam that no one will ever use and you keep talking [censored] but you don't even take the [censored] time to try it for your [censored] selves! _________________ Signature:

What's that supposed to mean? Internet is a set monthly cost on broadband.
News:

Ok folks, after about 4 days of pondering, we've came to a solution for payments and a better Netbux to evolve into. First of all, let me apologize for the lack of updates as I know many of you are wondering about April payments. The first change is that the minimum payment amount has been changed to $75. So, this means that if you didn't accumulate at least $75 for April then it has rolled over into the June 15th payments. Also, PayPal is again NO longer an option. The main problem that we had when making payments on Monday is that PayPal had froze our account, again and over 70% of the payees were using PayPal. So, right now, only checks and StormPay.
This biggest change that Netbux will be undergoing is we will be basing ourselves on a SHARE system. The share system will guarantee that everyone will get paid and Netbux can continue to roll along smoothly. What is a share system? Well, for instance, instead of getting paid $.02 for every search, you will now be getting paid 2 shares per search. Then at the beginning of every month we will be able to calculate the value of each share from the total of revenue that Netbux earned for the month. So in theory, every search could range from 1 to 5 cents. And the best part is that this will allow us to drop the minimum payout to $25!
I know that this may seem like a blow to some and confusing to others but this is the only way that Netbux can survive. My small team and myself will get back to work on things immediately. Payments will continue this evening and tomorrow once everyone has had enough time to update their payment information.
Thank-You, Chad |
