Seeing as it now seems we are being targetted by spam bots (about 6 spam posts in the last day), I've applied the following changes:

1) Users have to be validated by an admin before they are registered
2) Users have to enter a number which appears in a box to register

And maybe I'll also stop guests from posting.

Nothing wrong with a little bit tighter securrty IMO. I would also stop guests from posting too, means that they have to sign up and are likely to stay. However it also works the other way and they might just run away. Sad
