the first dota awards!

well, i've done this before on lucasforums, and i figured why not try it out here. usually people are really enthusiastic at the beginning, and then the awards just fade away. i've never finished the whole thing, but i've come very close the second time i tried *shrug*. either way, here's how it works.

we start off and make a bunch of awards. all of these should be taken lightly, so if you won the "stupidest award" then don't take it like nobody likes you or whatever. i think we'll make a special awards section for the game helpers only as well. but here will be the awards:

nicest person
meanest person
best smart person
best stupid person
most constructive poster
best spammer
most interesting posts
most creative person
best a.d.d. award (most unfocused person)
best dota-er (best conversationalist)

and the game helpers' separate awards, there'll only be a few of these:

most enthusiastic worker
best quality worker
fastest worker
slowest worker
best multitasker (who does multiple jobs well)

(for the game helpers awards, if you're unsure who does multiple jobs or if you haven't seen someone's work, we can make a topic in the game helpers section that has links to threads and stuff. i'll explain more in there.)

for each category, nominate three people. you can submit nominations only once. just post them here. once i think we have enough nominations, like 6 people at least have nominated others, then whoever got the top three nominations in the categories will be the nominees. and then we can vote on it. i might make a new thread for each award, but maybe we can just post them or you can pm me your votes. oh yeah, and when you nominate people, you can't nominate yourself. so get nominating! and if it's too hard to nominate in one category, or you don't want to, you can skip that category. but please try not to skip more than two. if we run short of nominations in a category, like we only get one or two, we'll vote anyway unless it's one. then we'll just automatically give it to the one nominee.



i'll also need people to design what an award will look like. it should just be like a picture that's about 350 by 80 pixels or so. and at the top and center it should say "the first dota awards" and then right in the middle of the whole thing it should have the person's name. then at the bottom and center it should say the name of the award. the person's name should be the largest, "the first dota awards" about one third the size or one fourth the size of the person's name (one fourth of the font size, that is) and the name of the award should be the same size as "first dota awards". and then on the ends of the award, there can be a design, or a picture of a ufo or whatever.
