I guess that means NO for the "select testers" plan Microsoft had in mind, because thanks to an unknown beta tester we can today offer you an exclusive peak at MSN Messenger 7 before the rest of the world.

Oh, and by the way, seems like we were right on the spot with our blurry screenshot and Timothy's composite back in August after all! |
So I went to find out about it, and here are two exclusive screenshots:
New buttons in the convo include animated smileys and buzz. _________________

I dunno which one to download - and the buzz works like the buzz on Yahoo Messenger, but should only work on people who also have MSN 7 beta. _________________

Web msn is Pretty good, Its a bit unstable at the moment but hey its in beta.
It incorperates the bare minimal msn features, IM, Smilies with no frills like avatars and changeable looks.
Its mainly focused on those who cant use msn on there pc due to blocked ports, firewalls or if there just not alloud for any reason. So if the site isnt blocked its possible to use at school (If you get cought dont blame me), or anywhere were the real version cant run.
There is an un-official version www.e-messenger.net which is more stable than the official version but its still flaky and isnt as easy to use as the official. _________________

Hey, maybe Das Mole can talk to us on MSN if he uses that (sorry if you don't understand- i was thinking aloud )
I found another way to run MSN at school - all you have to do is copy all the files from the MSN folder onto a CD and run it from there _________________

Thats the official messenger screenie, Looks basicly like real msn, Nice and easy to use.
E-messenger, Bit annoying but more stable. _________________

On the official msn sign in is just like 7 seconds and the page just keeps refreshing so you get the IM in a second or two delay (Bad for arguing). Only problem is the fact that it has to load all the images first which takes like a minute. And E-msn is about the same, They do have little lagg spikes every so often and have an anoying habit of while your typing it stops. But if you cant use real msn its worthwile. _________________
