Hey a while ago i saw someone who was making a 3D version of DOTT, but it looked slightly different to that. I can't remember the website though - it was a small sourceforge one or something.
They had a really good tentace, which looked just like the one in the game (the one you linked to looks kind of regular). The graphics in that game were cel-shaded too.

yeah the tentacle is not really the same but the characters are.. anyway it was just some work of someone.. not for a game
anyway, witch one is better
