I made a hotel map for CS 1.6 (after you gave me the idea Wink), it was pretty good, but the way there were so many rooms was kind of annoying, and the bots and hostages got stuck in the swing doors. But I might try to resurrect that, because it is possible to copy the geometry from old maps to Source. I'll make it a bit nicer and re-texture it Smile

If you mean a supermarket then that would be kind of hard because of all the items on the shelves. If you make them seperately there will be a low FPS, and if it's a flat texture it will look very fake. A street sounds good though Wink

That's quite a good idea. There have been a couple of skyscraper maps for CS 1.6 before. Do you mean just a battle on the roof of a skyscraper, or inside? This is quite a good idea though Smile

Thanks to everyone who gave their ideas Very Happy

If you mean a market out on the streets , theres already cs_italy but unless you wanna make a better and smaller version then yeh go for it.

Well its your choice in the skyscraper idea but i think it shoulbe on top of a tall building and it should be the top 1or 2 floor(s) and the top of the building, if you do, do that you could have a banner on the lifts saying out of order and have rubbles blocking you from going down. I think it would be fun but you're the modder Razz

That would be hard because you need to add loads of ojects, but it would be cool to get the physics of a pile of bakebean cans being blasted.

Is hammer easy to use? I may start making some custom maps if it is. Atm I can't be bothered to check it out to see if it is.

As for ideas, why not make a boat, I dpn't think anyone has done that yet. You could also have a map with loads of backstreets etc.

I've noticed that officemini is spread to almost all the servers now, it's one of the best minimaps. Good work James!

Once you have got used to how to use hammer it's easy to use. It's just dragging blocks round to make walls and floors and stuff, and giving them textures Razz
