I made about 5 pretty small maps before officemini. |
I'll learn as I create the map, and even if I do release it and its completely s*** I can go back and change it. _________________ Screw you suckers!!!! |

Even James hasn't gone for *big* maps yet (when I say big, I mean on the scale of cs_hurst_gold). His smaller ones are good though, and if they were bigger they would flail. Stick to what you can do, and you will get a better result. _________________ aiii |

My history of maps I made
CS 1.6:
Test room
de_gasstation (pretty big... it was pretty bad too )
fy_aztecworld
fy_assault_mini
CSS:
de_warehouse (it was alright)
fy_sandworld
fy_officemini
fy_shipdocks
So before I made officemini, I'd made 6 other maps. _________________

Jus had a look at the layout and props for my map and it doesn't really look like much of a prison but more like a hideout so it will be officially called fy_hideout_b1 _________________ Screw you suckers!!!! |

Ok, cool.
James, no offence intended, but wouldn't it be cool to make your own textures, instead of "assault_mini", "officemini" and "aztecworld". Also, shipdocks is in HL2. Your maps are cool, but more origionality (in the sense of textures - the layout etc rawks ) would be cool. _________________ aiii |

Making textures takes ages. I'm no good at it! You also have to do bumpmaps and stuff for them. It is really a lot easier to use pre-made ones. Anyone who can make their own good textures for maps is really talented. _________________

You are really talented, but just need a bit of a boost. Anyhow, you have made 5 or 6 maps using pre-made textures - it's about time you tried something harder _________________ aiii |

I'm not an artist . Someone else could make textures for me, and I'll make good maps with them _________________

They take ages. Wouldn't you prefer a good rotation of 5 small fy maps than 1 big de map? _________________

officemini was going to be a medium sized version of office, kind of like an office2, but after making one of the hallways i decided to make a small one .
Maybe i'll do a bigger one _________________
